    Hoarding Awareness

    On Thursday 18th May, Derbyshire Fire Service are hosting a free workshop in aid hoarding awareness week 2023.

    Drop in between 10am & 3pm for the opportunity to brush up on your fire-safety knowledge.

    This interactive event hosted by the Derbyshire Fire Service aims to educate and raise awareness of risks associated with hoarding in the home.There will be a special dedicated area for children to watch a short film to help them understand more too.

    PLUS! Receive a free home visit by the Fire Service to check that your house is best protected against fire hazards.

    Visit on 18th May and find the workshop located in the unit next to Vintage Tea Rooms on Steeplegate.

    About UK Hoarding Awareness Week

    The original week was in 2014 was devised by the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA) now the National Fire Chiefs council and strongly supported by Cherry Rudge – Rainbow Red as part of APDO UK, Clouds End CIC and other stake holders. It is now sponsored and run by Clouds End CIC.

    It is a stakeholder awareness campaign across the political, health and social care communities to raise awareness of the risks associated with hoarding. The week will start on the 15th of May 2023 and is the 10th annual campaign to raise awareness of the issue.
