The Christmas Workshop
Selling a range of delicious cakes, bakes and sweet treats on the day, all baked in-house by Qoozies, the venue will also be hosting a raffle to help raise even more cash for the charity, featuring a range of high-end prizes from local businesses.
The event is the brainchild of former Qoozies employee Sophie Coates, who decided to raise money for Macmillan after her mother, Maria, was diagnosed with breast cancer in January. Currently being treated for a rare, aggressive form of the cancer, Maria is undergoing surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy at Chesterfield Royal Hospital in an effort to stop the disease from spreading further. During her treatment, the family have relied heavily on the support of the Macmillan nurses, who have been there every step of the way.
Sophie says:
“Macmillan have been amazing from the get-go. The support we have received has been incredible; they have offered us so much information and have supported not only my mum but the whole family. We are dedicated to giving as much back to the charity as possible, and our Macmillan Coffee Morning at Qoozies is a great way to raise money for the cause, so they can help other families in the same situation.”
Raffle prizes include a bell tent sleepover and outdoor cinema experience from R&E Glamcamp, Infinity Pizza for two people at Pizza Pi, A meal for two at Qoozies, Giraffe baby store voucher, marble worktop saver worth £100 and much more.
Everyone is welcome to attend, purchase a treat or two, try their luck on the raffle and help raise as much money as possible for the charity.
We look forward to seeing you there.
